All Attendees Must Recite The Oath

Trav is at WWDC this week and the past few days he’s been acting like a high school freshman worried about the first day of school. I think he’s worried there is some big secret that everyone is in on but him.

Flashpoint technically started last month, but it really kicked off this past week with the first round of minis. I’m definitely more excited for the event as a whole now that I’ve had more than a cursory experience with it. It has the markings of a good story and the writers seem to understand the giggles fans get from simple name drops in what basically amount to an elseworlds story. Pirate Clayface being my personal favorite at this time.

People are speculating about every little detail regarding the DC reboot and how Flashpoint will lead into that. I’ve decided to take a more passive and positive stance on the whole deal. DC is not doing this one a whim, they truly believe this is the best course of action in their business which has become stagnant in a lot of ways. I’m going to stop worrying and learn to love the reboot, because there really isn’t any other way to be happy and keep reading DC comics.

Trav has said SEVERAL times in the past that he will be more will to try a book if he can buy it digitally, because he won’t have to store it if he doesn’t like it. While I would love to get into the insanity of that statement, I’m more focused on the positive aspect at this moment. If Trav starts buying comics digitally, then decides to move over to the hard copy because he likes it, everyone, from the stores to the publishers, will come out a winner. I hope this is the end result, and that a lot of readers take this stance.

The face of the comic universe is changing in September, im more ways than one.
