The Gnome’s sister is in town, so we went out to go party. It was a crazy night.

Everybody is starting to prep for San Diego Comic Con and when you’re that busy, sometimes things just slip through the cracks. It sounds like that’s how a new promotional image for the rebooted Justice League ended up online. Not only does it show the original Big Seven members, but we also see an additional eight members. Some of the people are easily identifiable and unsurprising as Deadman, Firestorm, Green Arrow, Hawkman, and Mera have been heavily involved with some of the most recent storylines. It was good to see The Atom there as he had yet to be mentioned anywhere else in the DC reboot. It seemed unlikely that they would retired the character, but it was still worrying that he had not yet been identified. The two hardest to identify are the two additional female characters. The one on the left underneath Deadman & Atom has been identified as Element Woman from the new Flashpoint comics. The blonde woman has yet to be identified, although there are several theories. I’m betting it’s not Black Canary as this woman looks different than Black Canary from the cover of Birds of Prey. I don’t know anything about Zealot, so I can’t really say about that but I’d be glad to see Power Girl around.

One of The Gnome’s favorite TV shows back when we still had cable was Law & Order: SVU in no small part because she thought that Christopher Meloni was a great actor. Apparently he’s in negotiations to play a part in Man of Steel. The rumors have him cast as a general in the film and while there have been many generals in the Superman universe, I’m betting on General Lane, which I definitely bet he could do.
