Wouldn't They be iNinjas?

Trav has been amazingly tight lipped about what all he’s done this week, and I have to say that worries me in a very real way.

As far as we can tell, everyone of the 52 new book in DC’s relaunch have been announced. The four Superman books(Superman, Action Comics, Supergirl, Superboy) will likely be announced, along with their creators, tomorrow. There have been many surprises, possibly more disappointments, and a few WTFs, but I’m willing to give DC the benefit of the doubt.

I’ve decided I’m going to pick up every #! in September, so I can fully judge every book on it’s merits alone, rather than my perception based on the cover, creators, and synopsis. This is at the same time logical and completely nuts. Logically, it makes sense to try as much as possible to see what works for you and what doesn’t. On the other hand, it’s nuts to buy 52 brand new and untested books. I’m not saying it’s likely, or even possible, but I could seriously be buying 52 complete duds. And that scares me.

Trav is getting back from WWDC on Saturday and we’ve already planned on meeting up and reading comics, in addition to talking about EVERYTHING that has been announced this week. Seriously, we made a spreadsheet and wrote notes on each title. We’re adorable. I hope Trav and I can put together a seriously impressive blog post for Monday, detailing our thoughts on every book coming in September. On top of that we’ll have our thoughts on this week’s pulls, once Trav has had time to read them.
