A Shocking Exclamation

Travis I wouldn’t say that the Gnome is the most reserved of us, but there are only a few things that will get her so excited that she completely loses it. We’ve now discovered one more of those things.
April is going to be a freakin’ awesome month. Not only will it be the Gnome’s birthday month, but we’ll also get these really cool showers which, if you’re lucky, mean Aunt May will get some flowers. She can put them on Uncle Ben’s tombstone and spruce things up a bit. From what we understand, the Spider-man world could use all the help it can get.
Winter is Coming and it is going to be SO FREAKING AWESOME that I cannot wait. If you don’t know what I’m talking about, then you have a little over 30 days to read 3298 pages. I recommend that you better
get
started
right
now
. Everything I’ve seen from HBO’s new Game of Thrones TV series looks epically awesome, even the posters. There’s really nothing that could get me excited more about next month.
Unless of course, you think bow ties are cool. First, Sean Bean being awesome and medieval and then five days later we have the new Doctor Who starting? Yeah, awesome month.
Travis, what’s on your pull list?
- Batgirl #19 - Filled with Miller’s normal wit and charm. I love the Grey Ghost.
- Birds of Prey #10 - The Death of Oracle arc ended with a bang, but with less of a resolution than I expected. Where exactly do we go from here? Not that I’m complaining, but how did Misfit suddenly get involved?
- Cinderalla: Fables are Forever #2 - Well written, funny and entertaining. This was a great book. Pick of the Week.
Kris, what’s on your pull list?
- Batgirl #19 - A very good issue, tying in well with Birds of Prey.
- Batman & Robin #21 - I like where this is going. I just don’t know if its going to have the impact it wants.
- Batman Inc #3 - It’s fun, it’s pretty, it’s two months late.
- Birds of Prey #10 - Wow, some of the art in this issue is bad. I mean BAD. The story is okay, kind of random, and it feels almost like a ret-con instead of a new era for Oracle. Simone wanted to return to the covert version and had to find a way to do it.
- Booster Gold #42 - This issue is nuts, but in a good way. I’m still happy that Jurgens is coming back in May. This books just feels hollow without him.
- Doom Patrol #20
- Justice League: Generation Lost #21 - Fuck Yeah! You know what I’m what I’m talking about it. Any real fan saw it coming. That’s right! Fire and Rocket Red had sex. I’m hoping for some flaming techno-badass babies!
- JSA All-Stars #16
- Legion of Super-Villains #1 - This and the Legion Annual has really pulled me through what I think is a slump in the Legion books. Good times.
- Outsiders #37
- Superboy #5 - I miss Geoff Johns writing Connor.
- Titans #33
- Wonder Woman #608
- Zatanna #10
