Precision Timing

Are you playing Arkham City? Did you remember to talk to Calendar Man on Halloween? If not, you’re out of luck.

As soon as I found Calendar Man in the basement of the Arkham City courthouse, I knew that there would be some interesting puzzle he’d be involved in. He kept mumbling about Halloween and it’s Calendar Man so the puzzle had to be date related, but what could it be? I know that Batman’s adventures in Arkham City take place over a single night, but there’s nothing that states the date when the story takes place. If I didn’t know the date, how could I figure out its relationship to Halloween and solve Calendar Man’s riddle? That Calendar Man date puzzle wasn’t associated with the in game date but rather the real world date never occurred to me until Kris said something and it was a total shock. Now of course, Calendar Man is mumbling about Thanksgiving and now I have to figure out how to make sure to play Arkham City on Thanksgiving when I’m going to be on the other side of the country from my PS3. I’ve tried to get Kris to come play for me, but he refuses. I guess I need to get cracking on a transporter technology or a remote controlled video game playing robot. I’m a huge fan of Batman: Long Halloween, so I’m really excited that they’ve built elements of it into the game.

Speaking of Batman, it looks like we’ll soon get to see more of The Dark Knight Rises just in time for Christmas. The first DKR trailer was released very early in filming and didn’t reveal a whole lot about the movie. I doubt that this second trailer will reveal much more, but I’m hoping to see a little bit of Bane in action. I finally saw Bronson a while back and having seen Tom Hardy as a crazy musclebound fighter makes me excited to see how he does as DC’s greatest crazy musclebound fighter.
