Museums Need Programmers, Right?

Another character?! It’s almost like we know a whole lot of ridiculous people and think sharing them with the dozen, possibly dozens, of people who read this.

This past weekend we finally ventured back into the realm of table top gaming, beginning a new campaign of the Serenity RPG. This was our first time playing Serenity, other than a short and aborted campaign Trav and Tiff were a part of a while back, and this was my first time DMing a game. General consensus seems to be positive, and I definitely enjoyed running a game.

Now ignoring my own personal love of Serenity and Serenity related objects, I think the RPG’s system is a good one, and one that is especially fitting for our particular group. The system puts a lot of weight in role playing, and we have a tendency to cut up and be ridiculous with our characters, so it seems a good match. I just know now that I need to prepare for the ridiculous.

I hope we continue to have as much fun as we did with this first session. If for no other reason than it justifies my purchase of every Serenity RPG book there is. I also want to continue DMing whether we stick with Serenity or go back to 4th Edition. Although I’m looking at creating my own character to get the other side of Serenity. I promise to give further reports as we continue to play.

Side Note: Because of the holiday, comics aren’t coming out until Thursday this week. We will still give you our pull list comments, but they might not be as 100% insightful as you are used to.
