Come with me if you want to live.

There is no fate.

All this week is WWDC where all the Apple developers get to learn all sorts really cool programming tips and tricks. Most of it is dry technical stuff that normal people wouldn’t care about. On the first day of the conference they do a Keynote address from Steve Jobs showing off the latest things for developers. Usually, this is where we’d get a preview of the next version of Mac OS X, Hot New Apple Product, Etc. Since the main focus of this year’s WWDC is the iPhone and the iPad, the Keynote introduced iPhone 4. I am unbelievably excited about the new phone and plan on pre-ordering it June 15. I have the original generation Edge iPhone and have been coaxing it along, waiting for the new iPhone to be announced. I was not disappointed. There’s a new camera with built in flash, a front-facing camera with a video chat app called FaceTime, and a higher-resolution Retina Display. The new iOS 4.0 is going to add 1500 new tools and libraries for developers like me to play with, including the long sought after multitasking. Best of all, the phone is just plain gorgeous. Kris hasn’t decided whether he’s going to get the iPhone 4 or get the iPhone 3GS, which will drop in price once iPhone 4 comes out. I’m petitioning for him to get the iPhone 4 so I can FaceTime him dirty pictures. I’m such a good friend.

Hope everyone enjoyed Al’s character biography on Monday. Today you’ll get Kyle’s and on Monday will be The Gnome’s. We have other characters waiting in the wings, but you’ll have to wait until they’re introduced to get their bios. We don’t want to ruin the surprise.

Character Bio: Kyle

Name: Kyle Blake

Occupation: Artist

Powers: Fast Sketching, Recall of useless facts and trivia, Getting Al into trouble

Likes: Summer Glau, Flash, Green Lantern, Anything touched by Geoff Johns, Summer Glau

Dislikes: Mistreated comics, Peanut Butter, Anything stopping him from dating Summer Glau

All Kyle ever wanted was to be a superhero. When he was young, he spent his time trying to find where his mother hid her costume and the entrance to his dad’s secret lair. He was certain that his parents had to be superheroes, for who else would train him to continue the Fight against Evil? During the summer, he would ride his bike back and forth from the city docks to the chemical plants, patiently waiting for a tanker truck to overturn, splashing him with the radioactive chemicals that would grant him Phenomenal Cosmic Power. When he first met Al, he was overjoyed, not because he found a new friend or someone who could share his love of comics, but because after all this time - finally - he had found his Robin. From then on the two were nigh inseparable, causing mischief, and planning on their rise to glory. Kyle prides himself on his extensive comic collection as well as his wardrobe of comic-related shirts perfect for every occasion.
