Or we could just stay home and read comics...

This week marks the last Wednesday in May, meaning it’s the end of the War of the Supermen. Other than some scientific (red suns are older than yellow suns) and continuity (I thought Superman was like a solar battery) issues, it’s been a pretty enjoyable mini-series. I’m interested to see the reunion between the first couple of comic books, Superman and Lois Lane.

June will also have a weekly mini-series in the form of the second Joker’s Asylum. The five issue special will be written and drawn by a separate team, telling a story about a different Batman villain. With the Riddler, Harley Quinn, Mad Hatter, Killer Croc, and Clayface, I hope this series is as enjoyable as the last one.

June is also the beginning of Batman Beyond, Red Hood, and Darkwing Duck. The release of Patton Oswalt’s Serenity One-shot based around Wash, as well as Superman #700, Batman #700, and Wonder Woman #600. All this on top of the bi-weekly insanity of Brightest Day and Justice League: Generation Lost.

For about the past six month Trav and I have been repeatedly saying, “This is a good comic week.” And it doesn’t look like that will be stopping anytime soon.

I would also like to note that this comic is an almost word for word recreation of a conversation Trav and I had a while ago, except I was acting out both sides of the conversation. But still, it’s like my life is put up there for everyone to see. This was also the original Ret-Conned script, because after that conversation we said those 7 fateful words every nerd says at some point in his life, “Hey, we should make a web comic.”

[...] extremely proud of this comic. The “It’s dirt!” discussion was what made us decide to do a comic, but this was the first script that I ever wrote. [...]
