Alarming Behavior

Travis I always have music playing in my head. Sometimes, without meaning to, that music escapes. I never noticed that I did this until Kris called me out on it one day. It’s not an intentional “I’m bored, I’m going to sing now” sort of thing, it just happens. I also have no idea why it’s always the Indiana Jones theme, but it is. It’s like my brain is tired of what is going on around it, so throws on a fedora and hops into a prop plane, heading off wherever the red line on the map leads to.
Robert Kirkman is a very busy man. Not only is he still writing both The Walking Dead and Invincible, he’s just finished The Astonishing Wolf-man and the first season of The Walking Dead TV series wrapped up Sunday as a resounding success. Well, he’s now announced his next project, an all-ages story called Super Dinosaur that’s about a genius ten-year-old and, you guessed it, his pet Super Dinosaur. The SD is a miniature T-Rex who controls joysticks with his stubby little arms to run a larger exo-skeleton. Apparently, Kirkman and Astonishing Wolf-man artist Jason Howard came up with the idea two years ago and have been working to wrap up the AWM book just so they could now work on this one. It sounds like a lot of fun and it’s definitely something I’ll check out when it starts in April.
I’ve read online some people in California who were concerned about comic shipments from the East Coast making it out in time for New Comics Day because of the snow storms up East. I don’t know if that’s unfounded paranoia or if our comic shipments in Texas will be equally delayed. I hope not because this week was going to be a great week and I don’t want to miss anything. Granted, you could really say that about any week, so we’ll see what happens.
