At Least It's Not on Betamax

Travis It’s time to pull out the advanced technology to solve the Mystery of the Mysterious Clothes.
Now that ET’s special premiere of the Green Lantern trailer has aired, the trailer is now available on Apple’s website for all to see. It looks remarkably pretty and very promising. Kris was really impressed with Sinestro and I’m equally impressed with how Tomar Re looks. It’s hard to make a guy with a fish fin on his head and a bird’s beak look cool, but I think they succeeded. Kilowog did not speak, nor did he have any more screen time then the clip that made it into the ET ad from Monday, so Tiffany is still unsure. Hopefully he’ll say something in a later trailer.
DC has announced that 2011 will see the Reign of Doomsday mini event. Basically, Doomsday is coming back and every month will appear in another book wrecking havoc. Things start off in the Steel one-shot in January, followed by appearances in Outsiders, JLA, Superboy, and an undisclosed book for his final appearance. We only have solicitations for the Steel one shot and his appearance in Outsiders, so don’t have a clear picture of what is going to happen. It sounds like from the Outsiders solicitation that he’s going to rip apart the Markovian contingent of the Outsiders. Hopefully, this will be a dramatic way to clean house in that book and make it more interesting. Dan Didio has done a great job as Co-Editor for DC, but we at Ret-Conned HQ have been unimpressed with latest writing adventure. Hopefully, a little Doomsday action will liven things up a bit.
